Welcome to the Homeless Continuum of Care of Stark County’s funding page. Here you will find information on funding opportunities available for agencies and organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in our community.
The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program is designed to promote community wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness; provide funding for efforts by nonprofit providers, and State and local governments to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families while minimizing the trauma and dislocation caused to homeless individuals, families, and communities by homelessness; promote access to and effect utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families; and optimize self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
The Emergency Solutions Grants program (ESG) is a federal grant program of the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), awarded annually to the City of Canton, designed to assist individuals and families from the City of Canton to quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness. The City of Canton re-grants the federal dollars to agencies with programs that serve residents of the City.
The Ohio Department of Development is providing up to $1.2 million in additional competitive funding for new or expanded permanent supportive housing programs through the Program Year (PY) 2023 Supportive Housing Program (SHP) pre-application process.
